Procedure for Permanent Consular Registration

In accordance with paragraphs 51-52 of Annex 1 to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 5, 2011 No. PF-4262 "On additional measures to improve the passport system in the Republic of Uzbekistan":

  • citizens who have left abroad for permanent residence in the established manner, as well as those temporarily staying abroad, are registered in the permanent or temporary consular register at the consular institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad.
  • Citizens who have left for permanent residence abroad and have formalized their departure abroad in the established manner are included in the permanent consular register.
  • Citizens who are not registered in the temporary consular register, when they are temporarily abroad, lose their passports, miss the validity period, or render them invalid, apply to the relevant consular institution to obtain a return certificate (Certificate) to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

To be registered in the permanent consular register, the following documents must be submitted to the consular department of the mission:

  • Original passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan + copy of the passport (with information about registration in the Republic of Uzbekistan);
  • Address sheet and copy of departure for permanent residence from the Republic of Uzbekistan (only for citizens who left for permanent residence in the CIS countries);
  • Certificate of residence or registration from the place of permanent residence in the country;
  • 1 photo measuring 3x4 cm;
  • Consular fee for consular registration;
  • Electronically filled consular registration form.
